Sparkasse Zwickau (Savings Bank Zwickau) has been focusing on issues relating to cost reduction and cash logistics optimization for six years now. In addition to outsourcing non-bank-specific activities, the Sparkassen institute also focused on minimizing and optimizing transport and replenishment cost pools (costs for armored carrier providers) as well as interest expenses on cash (opportunity costs). The ultimate step was to opt for optimization of the entire cash point network using the CPTO optimization suite.
