Definitions
Our Privacy Policy aims to be easy and understandable for everyone. Therefore, it primarily utilizes the official terms from the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The official definitions are provided in Art. 4 of the GDPR.
Data Processing by Visiting Our Website
When you access our website, it is technically necessary for your Internet browser to transmit data to our web server. The following data is recorded during a current connection for communication between your Internet browser and our web server:
- Domain visited
- Date and time of request
- Page from which the file was requested
- Access status (file transferred, file not found, etc.)
- Web browser and operating system used
- IP address of the requesting device
- Transferred data volume
We collect these listed data to ensure a smooth connection and a comfortable user experience on our website. Additionally, the log file serves to evaluate system security, stability, and administrative purposes. The legal basis for the temporary storage of the data and log files is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
For technical security reasons, in particular to defend against attempts to attack our web server, this data is stored temporarily. No conclusions about individuals are made from this data. After a maximum of seven days, the data is anonymized by truncating the IP address to the domain level, preventing any linkage to individual users. The data is not evaluated except for statistical purposes in an anonymized form, and no data combination with other data sources is performed.
Contact Form and Contact via Email
If you contact us via contact form or email, the information provided in the inquiry form or email, including the contact details you provide, will be stored by us for processing the inquiry and for follow-up questions. We do not share this data without your consent. The legal basis for processing the data is our legitimate interest in answering your inquiry under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, or Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your inquiry aims to conclude a contract. Your data will be deleted once your inquiry has been processed and no statutory retention obligations exist.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies, which are stored on your device by your browser and contain specific settings for website usage (e.g., for the current session). Cookies make our website more user-friendly, efficient, and secure. Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. Most cookies we use are "session cookies" that are automatically deleted after closing your browser. Other cookies remain on your device until you delete them or until their expiration. These cookies allow us to recognize your browser on your next visit.
Some cookies serve to simplify website processes by storing settings (e.g., already selected options). If individual cookies process personal data, this is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR to protect our legitimate interest in the best possible functionality of the website and a customer-friendly design of the visit.
You can adjust your browser settings to inform you about cookies, allow cookies only in specific cases, generally exclude them, or enable the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. You can manage cookies for specific browsers via the links below.
You can also manage cookies for various companies and functions, used for advertising purposes, with the relevant user tools.
Most browsers also offer a "Do-Not-Track" function, which signals that you do not want to be tracked for behavioral advertising purposes. Information and instructions on editing this setting can be found from your browser provider.
You can also prevent the loading of scripts as a default setting. NoScript allows JavaScript, Java, and other plugins only on trusted domains of your choice. Information and instructions for this feature are provided by your browser provider.
Please note that the functionality of this website may be limited if cookies are deactivated.
Data Disclosure and Recipients
Your personal data will not be transferred to third parties unless:
- explicitly mentioned within the description of each specific data processing;
- you have provided express consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR;
- the transfer is necessary for asserting, exercising, or defending legal claims and there is no reason to assume an overriding interest in the non-disclosure of your data (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR);
- the transfer is required by law (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR);
- or it is necessary for contract performance with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
We use external service providers for our services, which we carefully select and instruct in writing. They are bound by our directives and are regularly monitored. Where necessary, we have entered into data processing agreements according to Art. 28 GDPR. These include service providers for web hosting, email sending, IT system maintenance, etc. The service providers will not share this data with third parties.
Retention Period of Personal Data
The retention period of personal data is determined by applicable statutory retention periods (e.g., commercial and tax law). After the end of each period, the corresponding data is routinely deleted unless it is required for contract fulfillment, contract initiation, or if we have a legitimate interest in continued storage.
Google Analytics
Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses cookies, which are text files stored on your computer that enable the analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your website use is generally transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. We use Google Analytics with activated IP anonymization, meaning that your IP address is truncated within EU member states or other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, preventing personal identification. Google Inc. is certified under the "Privacy Shield" agreement, which ensures compliance with the data protection level applicable in the EU. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR or § 15(3) TMG, based on our legitimate interest in statistical analysis of user behavior for optimization and marketing.
Google will use this information on behalf of the website operator to analyze your website usage, compile reports on website activity, and provide other services related to website and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data held by Google. Google Analytics terms of use and privacy information are available at http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html and https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/.
You can prevent cookies from being saved by configuring your browser software; however, please note that this may prevent you from fully utilizing all website functions. You can also prevent Google from collecting and processing data generated by the cookie by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.
If you want to prevent Google Analytics tracking, you can change your cookie settings at any time in the footer section.
